‘Street’ photography is the unplanned, quickly taken shots of daily life all around us, and is a very popular photographic style I much admire. It is quite a challenging art to take a well-composed image, unplanned, and at Henri Cartier Bresson’s ‘decisive moment’, that instant when everything is aligned perfectly and you capture exactly a perfect image that cannot be easily replicated or repeated. Some of my favorite masters of street photography include Henri Cartier Bresson, Dianne Arbus, Mary Ellen Mark, Vivian Meyer, Gary Winogrand, Saul Leiter, Sebastiao Salgado, and Richard Avedon, just to name a few greats among very many. I recommend anyone go out and buy any camera and try their hand at street photography!
